Stacey Lawrence

Stacey Lawrence has dedicated her career to helping people and businesses thrive. Now she is bringing that same passion to her campaign for City Council in Jersey City’s Ward E.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Ithaca College’s Roy H. Park School of Communications, where she was active in radio, television, journalism, and student advocacy, Stacey began her career in advertising and marketing. During college, she pushed for her department to receive better resources, a campaign that ultimately led the college to overhaul the program after she graduated.

Professionally, Stacey has worked across startups and mid-sized companies in customer success and product management, helping businesses scale sustainably. Stacey also began teaching in wellness spaces and has certifications in indoor cycling, yoga, and most recently trained in the lagree method. After teaching hundreds of individuals at Jersey City wellness studios including Asana Soul Practice, MEGA, and CycleBar, Stacey left her corporate career in 2023 and doubled down on her support of Jersey City businesses. She now holds leadership positions at Asana Soul Practice and Betty’s Ceramics Club supporting in marketing, operations, and programming. Stacey has also launched and grown community classes in collaboration with local businesses such as PLNTD and Departed Soles Brewing, providing shared spaces where people can move, connect, and support local businesses.
